Where the slope is steepest downhill

MediumCalculus~3m

For f(x)=x3−6x2+5f(x)=x^3 - 6x^2 + 5, the graph decreases over some interval. What is the most negative value the slope f′(x)f'(x) attains (i.e. the minimum of f′f')?

Show hints (2)+
  1. You're minimising the slope f′f', so set (f′)′=f′′=0(f')' = f'' = 0.
  2. f′′=6x−12=0f''=6x-12=0 at x=2x=2; evaluate f′(2)f'(2).
