Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information NeetQuant (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account data - your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash; we never see your plaintext password).

Usage data - your question attempts, drill and assessment results, progress, bookmarks, and the focus and target role you select. We use this to run your dashboard, scoring, and analytics.

Billing data - when you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We store only a customer and subscription identifier and your plan status; we never receive or store your full card details.

Technical data - basic device, browser, and log information (such as IP address and pages viewed) collected by our hosting and analytics providers to keep the Service secure and reliable.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and personalize the Service, operate your account, process subscriptions, maintain security and prevent abuse, respond to requests, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Emails we send

Account emails - things you ask for or need, such as a password-reset link. These are part of the Service and can’t be turned off while your account is open.

One welcome note - about a day after you sign up, we send a single email introducing the product and inviting a reply. It is timed using the time zone your browser reports, so that it arrives at a reasonable hour where you are. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them for good; unsubscribing has no effect on your account or on account emails.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (an HTTP-only session cookie), which is required for the Service to function. We also use product analytics to understand how the Service is used and how features and pages perform; these may set first-party cookies or use similar local storage. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers that process data on our behalf, under their own terms and security commitments:

Vercel (hosting and analytics), PostHog (product analytics), Neon (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery - password resets and the welcome note). We share only the data each provider needs to perform its function.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data: passwords are stored hashed, sessions are signed and set as HTTP-only cookies, and traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to it.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ safeguards for international data transfers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can view and update much of your information directly from your account settings. To request a copy or deletion of your data, contact the NeetQuant team and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision above, and material changes will be communicated through the Service.

12. Contact
